Internet, Tech, and Games

There are many factors that play into decisions on renting or buying. This is far and away the best tool I have found for this type of decision.

Doing research?

Good stuff.

A neat feature is avalaible on Google Maps now. You can 360 degree views from the ground of Denver and a few other select cities. Want to see what an exit you will be taking on your next trip looks like? How about seeing the building you are driving to? Visit Google Maps then click Street View on the top right area of the map. You will see a camera over cities with this feature, click on one (our own Denver of course!) and move the person shaped icon to where you wish to see.

Just an FYI if your comment on this website doesn’t make it through to being on the site then let me know. I am trying new ways to get the spam comments not to appear in the admin panel.

Update: I am working to resolve an issue with getting the google promotion live, bear with me.

I love the Comcast commercial where a search and rescue person is giving CPR to a male deer (a buck, hehe) with the tagline: Save Big Bucks. I also like saving big bucks.

When I logged into my google advertising account today I noticed that you can get $10.00 to spend pretty much however you want if you sign up for Google Checkout. What is Google Checkout? It is like Paypal, the internet payment system, except less annoying to use. Google is trying to get people used to using their payment system so they are giving money away. Good for us! Clicking the text link below will link you to signing up for TEN BUCKAROOS at Google Checkout!

If any one (or more) person (or persons) out there is (are) wondering why my promised updates haven’t been coming, then read on.

In 1937 a new product hit the shelves of America. It was a product that would revolutionize the American military and the American Language. Although it made it’s claim to fame during World War II you can find it today in stores in 41 different countries. We know this product as SPAM, that oh so peculiar meat that lasts forever. And ever. In fact SPAM never seems to go away.

SPAM is most common in the United States, with the United Kingdom and South Korea being the next most popular places to find SPAM. In Okinowa you can get SPAM burgers in fast food restaurants called Jef. There is in fact SPAM every where you.

There is another place you can find SPAM also. Another fantastic invention utilizes SPAM everyday billions of times over. Known in most cases simply as ‘the internet’ (although some refer to it as Al Gore’s greatest self-professed invention). Just as SPAM kept American G.I.’s alive in the Pacific Theater of WWII, SPAM fills every known corner of the known internet. This website has become so bloated with SPAM that I had trouble accessing the administration panel today. The internet browser simply could not process 659 spam comments on the various postings of my website. By the time I clicked a button and ran a script to delete all of the fake comments another 6 had appeared. Ingenious stuff, SPAM.

I fully expect this posting to get NAILED with spam shortly. Using the Law of Universal SPAM Gravitation I can deduce that SPAM will be attracted to this post! Observe:

spam-gravity.gif

Thus the higher the count of SPAM’s in this blog posting the greater the Universal SPAM Gravitational Force. This post contains 23 typing usages of the word SPAM so M1 = 23. I approximate the number of SPAM’s on the internet to be in the neighborhood of infinity minus 1. So M2 = (∞ - 1). The internet eliminates distance, so we are forced to assign a constant of 1 for d^2, which of course equal 1. If we plug and chug the equation I can predict that this posting will have a SPAM gravitational force of around 23(∞ - 1). Granted that this equation uses Newtonian Physics, but I think we have a good ballpark reference here.

Have some SPAM.

The company I work for is giving one of its products away to schools. So, if you know are a teacher or know any teachers that would like a free genuine Saves Argument brand cribbage board sent to you for your classroom (or for a student) then move yourself on over to www.savesargument.com and click on the “Saves Argument” in Schools Program icon in the middle of the page.

PS I will be returning to making regular posts here once again. And no, we don’t have wedding pictures yet.

Here is an early warning that our clocks are springing forward one hour on a new date (much sooner) this year. March 11 is the day.

Here are a couple of free music Links from a band I just learned about called Beruit. Cellos, guitars, mandolins, ukuleles, drums, violins, organs, keys, tambourines, sax, glockenspiel, trumpets, eyphonium, and a 20 year old high school drop out.

I got a sweet internet package in the mail yesterday. I couldn’t wait to see what awaited me on the inside of this box after my last experience of getting a strange internet package.

This package was a White Elephant gift from my friends over at www.shacknews.com, specifically from RottenElement. Usually I am used to getting blasted by a shotgun from this guy in counter-strike:source so I was surprised at the high quality of this here gift!

I greatly enjoyed these items and now it is time to unveil the pictures.

First I got some nerd hardware that no nerd would need anymore!

Then I found some games. Looking very fine.

DVD close up (still a crappy picture)

And then I found this amazing toy at the bottom of the box.

But nothing prepared me for the amazing tribute to the original American and protectors of mother earth puzzle.

(where does one even find something like this??)

All in all a very enjoyable package to receive. A hearty thanks to rottenelement at the Shack!
